This was today's poll question on MSNBC!
From what I have heard on tv about witnesses seeing the victim right after she left his room I am beginning to believe he did assault her. JMO
But of course I know he needs his day in court and he is innocent till proven guilty.

I'm still undecided.
However, they were talking on the news last night about how Kobe's DNA matches the samples that were collected during the "victim's" rape exam. That means, she had to have had that exam after it happened, right? The evidence (semen, hair, whatever else) wouldn't have remained there long after and she would have showered and so forth after that.
Unless she had some plan to blackmail him for money or some other ulterior motive, what woman is really going to put herself through a rape exam unless there was an assault. (As I've mentioned before, I worked in an ER for 7 years. A rape kit is quite extensive and detailed.)

With everything she has to put herself thru and will have to endure during the trial I seriously doubt if any woman would let herself be subjected to this if she were lying. The defense is going to try and drag her thru the dirt to prove Kobe's innocence.

Like everyone else, I have a prurient interest fed by the media extravaganza, but I have no opinion on him being guilty or not guilty. One thing I am sure of, neither of them are innocent.

Unless there's the potential of making millions off of this. I'm still undecided whether he's guilty or innocent. Hopefully, the court system will get the truth and the correct verdict in the case.
If Kobe is guilty, then he should be punished accordingly, and if Kobe is innocent, he should be expunged and cleared.
I just can't help, though, in the back of my mind think, that blackmail/extortion could be a motive, even if the suspicion is an unfounded one.

I agree 100%. Let the courts decide.

I agree that the courts should decide but I feel he is guilty. As the case moves forward my mind could change, however.

Money can be a helluva motivator and people (women included) are willing to go through alot for the right amount of money. This case, if Kobe is found not guilty of a crime, will proceed to a civil court and there will be a monetary reward. Either way, this woman makes money. I believe Kobe is guilty of crappy judgement and adultry. He deserves to pay a price for that. As far as a crime goes??...........I dont think so, I have seen him and his wife in many interviews since this started and I just don't believe he raped her, had sex yes........raped? no! JMO!!!

I don't think he did. It seemed consensual.

I personally believe he's guilty of a crime....but thats just my opinion and gut instinct (and I'll freely admit I'm not a fan of Kobe or the Lakers).
The jury will see all the evidence and hear all the testimony, and will hopefully make the right decision based on the facts....and only the facts.

Well more often then not I have seen through the years where numerous professional athletes get themselves into these situations. And there have been the ones found guility - One thing you have to remember - no matter what the victim has done or said in the past or future - the jury will probably only hear what happened that night - everything else will be heresay(sic). The evidence will have to prove his guility or innocence.
My opinion is he shouldn't put himself in these situations because being a married man he would only be asking for trouble. But being the pro-athlete he thought he could handle it?
Now with all the media attention - I don't think either-side is going to be believed. It will be the evidence the state presents the will either convict or find him not guility.
Just my rambling two cents.

rape is a very tough case to prove. and that crime does not give the punishment it deserves. the prosecution will have to prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that this happened. i have seen many a jury say that they believe in the guilt, but the prosecution failed in producing evidence. sad, but true.

If he did indeed rape her, I hope they have enough solid evidence to prove it in court to get a conviction.
Either way Kobe Bryant is a loser, he is either an adulterer or a rapist.

I'm undecided as well. He shouldn't put himself in that situation and neither should she.

I would have to say that I don't think he raped her...I heard on Fox News a few days ago that soon after the alleged rape she was heard "bragging" about being able to sleep with Kobe...not sure if this is true or if it is a myth..

if it's true (the bragging thing at the party) then why hasn't somebody out there in the scum media scooped an interview with one of the supposed witnesses?
I know...gag order...
But is there one?
