Christmas Lights in Richmond, Virginia

So, I attended the Grand Illumination at the Jefferson Hotel here in Richmond. The Grand Illumination is pretty much the kickoff event for Richmond's holiday festivities, which include many, many lights and decorations all over the city, and skyscrapers in downtown having certain windows lit up so you can see "HAPPY HOLIDAYS" if you look at them from far away.

The Jefferson is a five-star hotel, so it's pretty much a given that lots of good stuff happened here. They have a 60-foot tall Christmas tree in the centre of their meeting area, decorated with ornaments, lights, and trim from top to bottom. I took a bunch of pictures:

The Lewis Ginter Botanical Gardens are also having their Christmas festivities, and they have light displays up all over the grounds. It's definitely worth the price of admission. Here's some pictures:
