hybridstorm a year ago i'd have flamed you for that, but lately, I'm seeing a whole lot of 'fakin' goin' on.
While yes, it's probably important to find other, less expensive sources of energy and fuel, the way they reconstructed the past climate (to eliminate warm and cold periods that happened) make me wonder if they had motive to.
By THEY i don't mean all scientists, or all climatologists, or even most. Just the small cadre who is loudest.
Which is why I'm a huge fan of Climate Audit now.

If they outlaw beer fridges, only outlaws will have beer fridges.
You'd think that in Canada, you could just put your beer out on the porch and it would stay plenty cold.

I don't know about you, but I don't like beer after it has been frozen.

I might point out that the Canadians have an excuse. The 'refrigerator' is actually outfitted with a tiny oven heater. The temperatures are generally about 5 or 6 degrees (Celsius) above the room temperature. However, the excess greenhouse gas output comes into play when the Canadians, angry that their beer was warmer than they wanted, THROW THEIR EMPTY BEER CANS AT POWER PLANTS, which shut down for spite, forcing them to use their own coal furnaces. These are highly inefficient and often use coal with impurities. Thus the imminent threat to the world.

I have seen other reports from serious media sources. Apparently, it was a study that showed how a person's lifestyle can affect pollution. The beer fridges were a good example of how people can conserve energy and waste.
The "beer drinkers threaten planet" was an attempt by Fox News to sensationalize the story and make it look like the GW kooks were at it again.
