What do you expect with no writers!!!
There was a similar program in Colombia that was cancelled because the question got to be really extreme and personal.

Coming next year on Fox... "Can you fight an alligator?"

These shows are getting more and more bizzare.

I figure by watching it I am supporting such crap. So I won't watch it.

The premise for the show looks good, but the execution seems half decent at best. I'd say this is just another attempt by Fox to get a piece of a market they don't specialize in.

I sort of liked it but I couldn't watch this every week, it would get really old fast.

The idea is good. If the show doesn't speed up, it won't last very long at all. Half of the show is silence.

I didn't watch. But the clip in the TV commercial, with the woman asked about donating a kidney to her dad, well, he seemed a big enough butt I might hesitate before answering as well.

Led by American Idol and the stellar debut of Moment of Truth, Fox got over the “hump” in grand fashion, almost doubling the No. 2 network in the overnights, NBC. American Idol opened the evening with a 15.3 rating/23 share in the metered markets at 8 p.m.,
followed by the launch of Moment of Truth at a very dominant 13.1/20 from 9-10 p.m. Retention of 81 percent out of the second half of American Idol (16.2/24 at 8:30 p.m.) makes Moment of Truth the biggest launch out of the blockbuster reality/competition to-date. As good as American Idol is, though,
year-to-year it was down by 16 percent (18.2/28 in the overnights from 8-9 p.m. on Jan. 24, 2007).

i saw a bit of this show last night, this show is really a recipe for disaster in people so hungry for money, that they would jeopadize such personal details about themselves in front of their family, friends and the entire audience.
But they chose to be there, so perhaps they deserve what they get. But geez, this isnt a game, its real life, not my favorite show at all.

That's the reason you're supposed to like it (or at least Fox's rational for running the show).
A lot of the commercials, though less of them now, use the word 'controversial' as if it was positive.

So I take it this show did extremely well in the ratings?

I watched part of it but grew very tired of the long pauses. Like when the contestant was asked a question. At least 30 seconds went by and then at least another minute before the he was told if he was rigth or wrong. looks way to scripted.

They did speed up the show. They do this every time a new show airs, they always have the first one slow and the rest afterwards are faster. I think it's on purpose.
