If this becomes a cane before Friday,once again the NHC underestimated it's strengthening.I know it is diffucult to get a handle on hurricane strength forecasting,but they always err on the conservative side

If this stinker cuts up the length of Cuba after flirting with Hispaniola you can put a fork in it.

Yeah I think people forget how the forward speed, while getting easterly shear... actually helps it out quite a bit. 30kts of shear - 18kts forwards speed = 12kts of shear.

Little slower and a tad east from 12Z



Could this be a hint that the models may run this slower and also maybe the models jump back up north to the bahmas.

One of our local weather guys just said that with the new models out, this was much better for us (here in Palm Beach County) because it looked like it would go into the Florida Straits. I just wonder why they say things like that when it's so far out. I remember he was the same one who told us that Francis was not coming our way as well. Just seems a little early to say anything one way or the other in my opinion.
