The direction range so far: 008 - 044. Of course only a small area has been sampled.

= Wind direction of 40 degrees (NW)
= Flight level winds of 18 knots.

But they are finding NE and ENE winds where they should be S or SW...
It does not look like a surface circulation yet...

They are going way down trying to find the most important one,the west wind.

SW and W winds found...we have a TD now it appears...I'd say around 2:30 pm they will issue a special advisory for TD6 and issue Tropical Storm Watches and Warnings.

Just got a report in my email of 220 deg. 25 kts at the surface near 11.3N/58.2W from the plane. Looks to be a TD.

Last pass had the missing S and SE winds. Definitely a well-defined circulation. This should be upgraded - waiting for the NHC now.
