Yeah  , but note all that dry air north of the system, it will be a huge fight on it self first today...second against this temporally hostile environnement, we must have to wait and see how 98L could escape from from this today as conditions should be better during the next couples days.... :P

Floater Loop

I see this low less defined than in past days.Is more broad than tight.Maybe its over for 98L.

I believe that the LLC is being disrupted by the ridge and accompanying shear. However I am not going to discount this developing, and we might be faced with another major soon. I'm uncertain in the direction it will take, but because of the weaker form it will be in for a while, I expect a low-rider. And possible GOM entanglement. However it is way too early to speculate a track.

Absolutely SapphireSea, too early to speculate , you have well resumed the synopsis, but we should have to keep in mind that in September all the windows are open for any waves at any time , so must closely monitor this system during this peak of this period of the season in spite of this poor appearence just right now!!! :darrow: :spam:

The system appears to be moving on satellite photos.

This is the first time I've seen convection on the NE side of the broad LLC. Maybe the shear is lessoning a little.

It's not looking good at all ... circulation is much more stretched out than yesterday.

The TPC tropical discussion says it's moving at 5 knots but I think that's generous. It made practically no progress overnight.

I'm not writing it off yet, but if it doesn't get some faster forward motion it'll continue suffering from easterly shear and eventually that would kill it off.

TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK
NWS TPC/NATIONAL HURRICANE CENTER MIAMI FL
1130 AM EDT MON SEP 3 2007

FOR THE NORTH ATLANTIC...CARIBBEAN SEA AND THE GULF OF MEXICO...

THE NATIONAL HURRICANE CENTER IS ISSUING ADVISORIES ON CATEGORY FIVE
HURRICANE FELIX...LOCATED ABOUT 365 MILES EAST OF CABO GRACIAS A
DIOS ON THE NICARAGUA/HONDURAS BORDER.

A SLOW-MOVING AREA OF LOW PRESSURE IS LOCATED ABOUT MIDWAY BETWEEN
AFRICA AND THE LESSER ANTILLES AND IS ACCOMPANIED BY A FEW
DISORGANIZED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS. ALTHOUGH UPPER-LEVEL WINDS
ARE NOT PARTICULARLY FAVORABLE FOR DEVELOPMENT AT THIS TIME...THE
CIRCULATION REMAINS WELL-DEFINED AND THERE IS STILL SOME POTENTIAL
FOR THIS SYSTEM TO BECOME A TROPICAL DEPRESSION DURING THE NEXT
COUPLE OF DAYS.

A BROAD AREA OF LOW PRESSURE LOCATED A COUPLE HUNDRED MILES EAST OF
THE GEORGIA COAST IS PRODUCING DISORGANIZED CLOUDINESS AND SHOWERS.
THIS SYSTEM HAS THE POTENTIAL FOR SLOW DEVELOPMENT AS IT DRIFTS
EASTWARD DURING THE NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS.

ELSEWHERE...TROPICAL CYCLONE FORMATION IS NOT EXPECTED DURING THE
NEXT 48 HOURS.

Stationary with an unwinding LLC. Doesn't look good and could be breaking down. If it does hold together this stall could connote a weakness in the ridge that would take 98L on a different track than Felix.
