So does Tropical Wave Ingrid head West or West-Northwest towards the Bahamas, where who knows if conditions are more favorable a few days down the road?

Still some West to East low cloud motions on the last frames of visible for the day, around 58ºW, so it might still be a depression..

I wonder if this "out to sea" line will come back to bite them. The EURO has a weak system coming back west at day 8-10. Thing is what ever gets there will be pushed back west due to the fact there will be a ridge over the top. (no escape route)

Ive noticed the shear didnt seem to want to go away. If my memory serves me right shear was SUPPOSED to be gone or at least lowered today; now it appears that it wont happen for another 34-48 hours

I dont know about anyone else but im still open to the idea of regeneration occuring in about 36-48 hours IF (dont u hate that word?) conditions do become less hostile down there.

I read last night from some Pro Mets; I think AFM; that it would not be until Tuesday that the shear would go away.
There was some debate about that though.

Might not quite be an open wave, but I don't think that one SFMR reading of 35 kts north of the center is very representative of the winds around Ingrid. More like less than 20 kts. Nearest convection to the center is now 120 miles to the east. Here's a 00Z analysis:

LOL....you are very funny. Good one Derek. You know, I love weather forecasting. I gives me such a thrill. That's what keeps me coming back to this forum I guess. Its great when great minds merge together to get an overall spectrum on what is about to happen across the tropical Atlantic and the other basins around the world. I knew this was coming. It was only a matter of time.

Latest QuikSCAT - still a well-defined closed circulation...highest winds in the 30-35 kt range.

Yeah very very weak west and southwest quad. With winds of 5-8 knots. Hardly enough for all parts to be found at the surface for the recon. Unless it got lucky. The southeast and east still has some 25-30 knot winds.
