that little burst of convection that happened about an hour or 2 ago earlier is already dissipating...so much for that.......guess it was a false alarm. last night it had no problem generating convection, but that doesn't seem to be the case tonight.

I think other than a nice spin to 92L it has nothing going for it. The spark went out and I think by tomorrow afternoon if it doesn't ignite it will be gone.

I agree with you...and there's no reason for me to believe otherwise. Had it been able to fire up convection tonight I might be thinking differently. It started to and then it too dissipated...
I think the NHC is right on it when they said "development IF ANY would be slow to occur"...I think they too know that this might be dust by tomorrow...

As it moves towards the Bahamas area it's something that has to be watched very closely even if the system is not able to produce convection during DMAX. We must remember what happened with the system that developed Katrina and others like Franklin. They were nothing before moving over the area. It's the peak of the hurricane season as I write and I can't stress anymore the fact that during this month every disturbance has to be watched very closely because things could go from faking dead to being very much alive. Just ask out friend Gabrielle, well, what's left of her!!!

funny when I said this last night, I got a lecture and my post was deleted.....I think that we need to be consistent here..............there is some convection firing up, but not under the MLC and there is still no LLC....give it 12 more hours
