I'm near the Galleria and the low clouds are starting the stream from NE to SW. Earlier they were just sorta hanging there.

Also, the wind is picking-up. This morning it was still.

Houston (West University/Upper Kirby):

Had light showers this morning, but they cleared out about an hour ago. Somewhat overcast, but the sun is still peeking through. Very light breeze, clouds still moving sluggishly. All our windows are eastward facing.

12:30 central: Wind is certainly picking up. All the garden flags around the apartment complex were fluttering lightly in the gusts. Since there are still puddles in the driveway from this mornings light showers, we went ahead and moved the car to the second story of the garage.... although if the cars were to flood out we'd be in trouble anyways. Better safe than sorry ^_^

4:50 central: Starting to hear distant thunder every few moments. The sky is looking very pretty- small bands of darker clouds mixed with bands of lighter clouds. So far no rain, but it's getting that heavy air feeling that you get before a doozy. The neighbor's dog is freaking out and barking at every noise and our cat would exist inside my husbands body if he got any closer. First time probably ever that the cat wouldn't even peek his nose outside of the apartment when I opened the door to get a look at the storm (He's an indoor cat but he likes to pretend I let him out). He gave me a "Oh hell no you crazy monkey- I'm not going out there" look and went back to hide in Alan's lap =)

6pm central: Thunder seems to have stopped without any actual rain. Lighter clouds are gone- we're at about 50%grey (color not cover- 50% between back and white, photoshop term). Cover is around 80-90%. It looks like it could just open up and pour any moment now but we're not even getting sprinkles. We're inside 610, south of I10, west of 45, and right on top of the E-W stretch of 59. Looks like it could be a long night.

Katy Area: Overcast, we had light rain this morning. My wife is in the Clear Lake Area and they were getting hammered earlier this morning.

Port Arthur......at 7 this A.M. the streets were really flooded...there is only light rain at this time.

It's actually a bit sunny here under the Bear Creek Dome. Figures! The Dome has held for so many days with rain all around us, but not a drop fell until this morning, and that only lasted about 15 minutes.
