Status 01 means T or Td suspect, so no problem with wind.

I thought for those low altitudes the reduction was 0.75 or 0.8.

There is a AF308 WXWXA training flight at the moment (SW of Biloxi). Their hdob messages are 'interfering' with the hdob messages from the AF303 in the GE file, I am sorry.

ACE would be 0 for a subtropical storm anyway.

0.9 is only for flights at 10 kft iirc, for hurricanes.

Looks like recon data may support subtropical storm status, despite having fairly limited convection and only a weak warm core.

Weak convection and a marginally warm core is what makes it subtropical vs. tropical, although James apparently thinks this one is on the tropical side of that fence . . .
