Very heavy rain along the southeast coast.

Where is it moving right now?

after much studying of radar, this green ameatur is going to guess EAST with the center just off the coast of Key Largo.

also i rarely see tropical lows like this headed east north east south of miami for a long time

here's betting this reforms NE somewhere off of daytona later this evening

you can see the LLC more evident just east of key largo on the floater visible

with broad turning IMO begining just ne or west palm beach

http://www.ssd.noaa.gov/goes/flt/t3/loop-vis.html

other wise if it doesn't reform again (off daytona) this thing may strengthen a bit more than forecast IMO

My thoughts completely.
Unfortunately seen it enough times to also know that it drags all the badly wanted rain with it and we don't get the amount of rainfall that everyone thinks we will get.
Let me be wrong about that.

Is it moving fast enough to get to Daytona this evening? I need to get some outdoor work done and it won't stop drizzling. I guess I will get wet.

Spin is winding up really good on Miami radar loop. What's the odds that this puppy could make TD status by 5:00PM?

Looks like center is SE of Miami trucking NE.
And will probably drag the rain with it....

I'm not too sure but based on the radar it appears that it may be heading either due North, or NNE. Any rain is better than none.

IMO it looks to be moving NE....Also, this is not a depression, winds here in Miami are near 0.

Think the Southwest coast will see any rain from this?

It has been raining at UMiami and the rest of Central to South Dade since about 10-11pm last night. Just now letting up. Drove down SW 56th (Miller) this morning and there was some moderate ponding of the roads. On movement, my very green self thinks it will go into the Atlantic and possibly stall off Jax or Savannah. But it can sit over the Big O and dump all it wants IMHO.

winds are not an issue at all right now, in fact i really can't find much higher than 12/13 mph

the bouys are falling slowly though

if we had a huge high nosing down the coast you could bet it would be a very windy day here

30 degrees at about 10kt 25.4 80.1 not anywhere near as much onshore on the west side as offshore on the other side of the gulf stream. Looks like MIA airport getting slightly impacted...FLL next and Freeport looks to get the brunt.

I don't think so and I think the Southeast coast has seen about all it will see.
Just light rain now and the convection is to the east of the center which I see on radar as being pretty close to the coast near Miami headed NE.
Very little rain on the west side of the center.
Not a day for sun and fun in Freeport or Grand Bahama.
Would not surprise me at all if we wake up to a sunny day tomorrow.
Maybe behind it we will get SW winds to bring the afternoon Thunder Storms eastward

Looks to be a nice Nor'easter type storm as it hauls butt just off the East Coast.

If it gets blocked, then we might have something here, otherwise, another "almost" event from the way things look now. At least some rain fell in S. FL.

The eddy/swirl/whatever on radar isn't really a "center" of anything, at least at the surface. All the winds up & down the Keys are still out of the E/NE.

Forecaster Garcia at mia nws nailed it this morning in the disco. this would be the same garcia that went against nhc in a disco the morning irene made a move over sefla instead of heading up the sw coast.
