Oh, I was posting in the USA Weather forum, not realizing it was 99L. So it's 99L that is causing the bad weather here. Heavy rain, very gusty winds, lots of thunder and lightning, and tornadoes so far this morning. I have been really busy and not keeping up with the weather very well the past few days, but I'm pretty sure that the forecasts only called for 20% to 30% chance of rain. Now I have Lake SG in my yard.

After tornadoes had already been reported, they just issued a Tornado Watch about 15 minutes ago, until 6pm. Not slamming anyone, just wondering what happened that this wasn't predicted?

Outside the office, I mean. Roof integrity remains excellent.

In Orange, we are getting steady drizzle with a few brief periods of light rain.

Certainly no Humberto.

What is this vorticity max in the Bay of Campeche? Related to 99L?

I looked at the visible images, winds all around the blob are from the Southeast. There might be some kind of Northwestward moving convergence line in there, but nothing looks interesting.

Today's action is on the October 17th severe thread I started last week.

And I think I'm getting more rain than I got from Humberto. lol
Not as windy, though.

I'm north of the Parkdale area. It's pouring right now... been on and off heavy rain, with light to moderate in between. It has stopped raining a few times, only to start again shortly thereafter. At least there haven't been any more tornadoes!

Indeed, this system is now simply a piece of the front moving through the central US. The thread will be archived when NRL takes down the invest.
