Links to international met services of TC-affected countries

#1 Postby Chacor » Tue Jul 10, 2007 9:36 am

I thought it'd be helpful to have a thread with links to all the met services of TC-affected countries... I've spent the last 2 and a half hours compiling these links. Some like UK Met Office aren't included, however, since they don't issue warnings on TCs or are affected by them while tropical.

This should be stickied. Thanks for starting this thread! That's an excellent selection of resources! It is easier to browse the links within a single topic. It's fantastic...

Edit: By the way, could you add the Joint Typhoon Warning Center? Thanks...

Beautiful compilation, Chacor. It's really nice to see all the big, well-known people put up there right next to the smaller departments . . .

Now as soon as Port Moresby gets on the ball, we'll be set . . .

BOB is an abbreviation for the Bay of Bengal.

I did consider adding Spain and Portugal to the Atlantic list, actually, then decided against it because Vince was more an oddity than anything. I'll add Myanmar now.

However, the Azores does seem to get storms now and then (Gordon last year, unnamed subtrop in 05) so I've added it, thanks.
