You know it could just be a wobble but on that last frame or two there is defiantly a turn to the north.

like another poster said Fay is scared to death of the water...will probably stick here toes in at the Cape and then head straight NW into Alabama

Any thunderstorms or rain forecasted to move in squalls
towards Tampa Bay? Pretty dry here. The eye can stay away
though.

I don't think it is going into Alabama if it does not hit water. I think it will go farther west than that being so far south.

Convection is starting to break down on the radar, looks like Fay peaked just a bit before the lake.

Just like the Madagascar Cyclone that made landfall like 6 times or so.

Fay obviously loves Florida, because she's going to visit every place in the state if that verifies!

While having a borderline hurricane wandering around isn't a good thing, it's probably better than the current severe drought, so all things considered, that wouldn't be so bad. The stalls happen over water so probably no extreme flooding.

She has turned more northerly, not true N but not NNE either.

Haha true true true. I have to agree. This thing likes land more than water. Instead of a tropical system it needs a new name to represent it growing on land

Also no no NNW wobble I don't even think it is fully moving North either.

Based on an image from Google Earth with the radar overlay it appears that the City of Okeechobee is getting hammered in the NE quadrant just in the "eyewall" right now.

i think the next hour may tell wether fay is wobbling N or shifted N or will resume (at least short-term) NNE/NE

Look at the visible sat loop from the NHC site. It appears that you can see the high pressure pushing down on Fay from the top. During the loop at one point it looks like she gets a flattop. I would not be suprised to see her move back towards the gulf before making it to the East Coast.

I see a NNE motion again on the radar.

Convection seems to be building on the south side. That's heading this way on the radar.
