correction... coast guard did go.... AF301 also aided in the rescue but could not get lower than 2,000ft due to winds.... rescue attempt was unsuccessful because surface winds were to strong. The AF301 crew gave the CG rescue helos surface wind speeds for the coords that we had passed along to them. I talked with the crews when they returned... and we had constant communication between the AF301 crew while airborne in the rescue area.... if you look at the HDOBs from that flight you can clearly see the AF301 crew went into SAR mode.

No, it was built 17 ft high may have settled some and be only 16 ft but definately higher than 10 ft.
