I would have to agree and it seems to be moving more westward at a decent clip. IMO

Since the circulation just started it's a little early to determine direction and speed.

I tend to agree with the westward movement also - interesting scenario seems to be developing. We'll have to wait and see. Local mets keep saying that this should increase our rain chances by the middle of next week.

Movement that we are seeing could just be development trying to take shape.

Knowing 94L, it's probably just in the mid-levels. I think this invest is DETERMINED not to form. I've been fooled by this system more times than I can count on one hand so I'm not buying it!!!

I think you saw it almost form before it hit the dead zone that is the Eastern Caribbean. Now it's finally got some space from South America and it's ramping up. It's always been a very vigorous system.

Your saying that we let this thing go when it has deep convection and an LLC trying to form?

I think at the time when they said that they probably thought it would only be a strong tropical wave. This "may" be a little more then that. I'm not saying it's headed toward LA. I actually believe the Mexican coastline and maybe the lower Texas will feel the the affects of this "if" it were to develop. As always way too early call for any level development or landfall locations. IMO

Derek Ortt you made a good forecast last night on this system. Good job!

94L has bit me for the last time ever. I will not forecast development with this system. In fact I wish it will just die right now.

DIE 94L DIE!!!!

Looks like 94L is about to get crunched by a ULL:

P.S. If you look at the top of the photo, it appears Bertha will be upgraded to a hurricane at 5...

I'd agree - that's a place to watch for an LLC to form.

Not having a center doesn't mean it won't develop. It's frustrating but we must wait.

It looks like the upper low is diving southward in front of 94L.
