Re: ATL: Tropical Storm Hanna in SE Bahamas
new convection popping pretty good near LLC at 1025
http://adds.aviationweather.gov/satelli ... &itype=vis
note how that line that seems to cut thru hanna has had it's progress south stopped in the last hour
also that etha-sketch shear plume seems to be shifting to the west just north of her
anything is possible with hanna today , i think

NEXRAD - Quote:
Hanna and Ike will remain far enough apart that the two don't significantly interact
Sanibel - The visible shot Blown Away showed us puts Ike at 66.5W while Hanna is at 71.7W on 02/09UTC. That's practically right on top of each other at around the same latitude.
Hello? Anybody?

Does anyone know where Joe Vastardi has predicted Hanna to hit?
Thanks,
Nicki

Hanna sure looks sick, but if she survives through tonight the reversal should be just as dramatic. Will she be knocked out, or will she get up and fight will be the question. Our local forecaster this am that he thought did state that his gut feeling was that she was going in around Fl/Ga and will only be a rainmaker here. I'll take it

I think the Carolinas, likely SC. He says it will be a historic Atlantic hurricane comparable to storms like Hugo and Andrew.

Hanna vs. Shear Round 2
ding ding ding...
The shear is off to great start throwing punches at hanna. the shear continues to whale on her as her eye becomes....naked. but look at Hanna she continues to stay on her feet showing no weaknes at all. UH Oh look at that the shear boxing her in a corner. Oh wait!.... hanna is beginning to throw some punches she is definitely not going down easy. she holding the shear at bay now, look at her eye she's fighting to keep the convection with in her. This is a great match folks!

You can see here that Gus is now starting to pull away from Hanna. That should help Hamma some. [img]

Last night on Fox news he stated that Savannah would be landfall cat 2 possibly 3. He says we are into the great Atlantic storms remnant of the 40's and the 50's, word for word.

Re: ATL: Tropical Storm Hanna in SE Bahamas
there seems to be some sort of gust front or something ready to actually nail that center, its coming in from the NW, never seen anything like it, i have no clue what it is but you can see that line of clouds racing sw,its like something out of star trek ready to nail the enterprise, hanna needs defelector shields or something, we should know in 30 mins what effect if any this has

Really I had it on 9 and that is not what they said. They said that it could go into GA-Sc up to our coast line here in NC. We just need to just a eye out to where she would go. And that all the wobbles would mean alot in the track of Hanna. It was going to be on How fast the high move off to the east. I know other News Station have their own Ideas but they really need to go by what NHC has to say. Not their gut. Not a good Met in my Book that would go by his GUT Please keep a watch eye on Hanna. She will bring bad weather to us here even if she don't landfall in NC

that is what remains of the outer bands from last night being pushed south by the shear...it's nothing new...it's been there since yesterday..over night it got flattened out NE to SW and pushed SE by the NW shear... and it's higher in elevation than the LLC...it is amazing to watch though
