* AT 203 AM EDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM CAPABLE OF PRODUCING A TORNADO NEAR WELLINGTON...MOVING NORTHWEST AT 20 MPH.

* THE TORNADO WILL BE NEAR... WELLINGTON... ROYAL PALM BEACH... LION COUNTRY SAFARI... AND SURROUNDING COMMUNITIES.

Maybe the reason. These tornado warnings are popping like popcorn all over PBC and surrounding counties.

The slower it goes and the farther east it makes it. The higher the chance it has to make the gfs come true. JMO.

This thing is crawing.

Yeah maybe drifting a bit but it looks mostly stationary. Not a good situation if it continues to play out this way.

i gtota tell yo guys out there...I've been in Wellington for 21 years now...been through Frances, Jeanne, Wilma and all kinds of "storms of the century", but I don't think I've ever experienceed the dirty side of the storm. I live on Lake Wellington, and tonite there is a whole new meaning to Lake Effect weather. It is downright nasty. Just heard on the tv that one of the equestrian buildings just blew down...maybe alot of hype...but I don't know...pretty bad out here!

Should be making landfall by the 5 am advisory. Can't believe this thing is only 60 mph, w/ all that intense convection.

I have my doubts as well. If this isn't upped then I somewhat expect at least an upgrade to 70 mph if not higher in postseason.

One amazing aspect of Fay is how many landfalls she could make during her lifetime. If she were to go out into the Atlantic again and then back into the Gulf and make a final landfall, it would be 6-7 landfalls in total (not sure on the "first" one for Cuba).

NOAA just gave 987 mb but like RL3AO said they've been low today. Still that's considerable strengthening even if only around 989-90.

I say almost stationary and gaining strength from the warm waters. Granted NOAA has been low today but they pressures keep dropping regardless of whos measuring them.

Im at Avocado and 72'nd north of Orange by 2 Blocks.

Good evening or morning,

all the reports from eveyone is a surprise to me. Living in Westcheter just south of Sweet Water. Very little rain, no big winds or gusts. I have seen worse in a afternoon thunder storm. Wishing everyone else the best.
