yep been watching it. Winds picking up here and alot heavier rain coming down. 2-4 inches is gonna be on the short side if this keeps up. This band has been really nasty and producing ALOT of tornadoes and it doesnt look like its in a hurry to move out. you can see the hook echo go right on top of wellington on radar....

Radar seems to indicate the forming eyewall is being closed off...

Take a look at radar, it looks almost closed to me. Maybe not FULLY but it should be able to before landfall.

The Wikipedia article on Fay says it has killed 109 people so far. Deadliest of the season so far and quite high. I didn't see this posted on here yet.

Didn't look closed to me at all on the radars I just saw (Weather Channel and Intellicast.com.) Landfall looks to be within the next hour.

I lived in Olympia last year. Now I wish I was still there (Wife wanted a smaller home). I've been recording some more video but it's probably not as impressive here in West Palm Beach. And, it's dark. I'll post links shortly... We're getting some strong squalls.. I'm guessing the winds will pick up as the day moves along...

Looking on nws radar from MIA, eyewall looks complete on north side, open on south side. Eyewall was right on the coast at 4:01 am, west of Everglades City.

Air force plane has arrived in Fay's eye and reports 989.4 mb. Center appears to be at 25.85N 81.71W. This indicates a short-term (1.5 hour) motion to the NNE since the recon around 7z.
Also, there has been some acceleration - motion in the past 3 hours is 10 mph (based on recon), versus about 6 mph from 23z to 5z.

WPBF is still saying Fay hasn't made landfall yet... :double:

Squalls coming in again in Wellington...News crew around the corner from my house; should I go get them to show my deck furniture that flew into the pool?

Went to lay down for an hour and chairs are in the pool...pretty good gust i guess
