Yep dwg71 pressure is down a little bit but thus far winds haven't responded at all.

Yeah its usually hard when the area lacks convection. Its improving, but it still has a bit to go. Once convection really picks up and surrounds the center, I expect winds to begin increasing and pressure to start decreasing at a decent rate.

Latest dropsonde suggests a pressure of 1000mb (1001 splashed into 12 kt winds).

Overall, a slow deepening trend is definitely occurring as expected.

Agreed the system is deepening at a slow pace according to recon but the winds don't seem to have really responded from the looks of thing at the moment.

I'd say that those winds were not bogus now. Plenty of Surface Obs to show that those winds could be accurate. I was wondering why you thought they were bogus?

You would know more about it than I would, and I'd like to know what to look for with recon data and how you can tell if it's questionable.

RADAR INDICATES CIRCULAR BANDING CONSISTENT WITH FIX ON EAST SIDE, 25 PERCENT COMPLETE.

Very interesting remark from the Vortex Message.
