This first link (called Image link) is an IMGUR link, no better way to describe it. It's the first link after uploading an image to IMGUR. Usually you are also given a direct link or BBCODE link that can be used here, but if the image is too large IMGUR will only give the first link. You can use the IMGUR tags to show this kind of link, or use the direct link combined with IMG tags to show the image. I always use original size (selection at the bottom of the dialog). You can choose to shrink the image, but why?

BBCode also uses the direct link but surrounds it with IMG tags. Convenient to just copy and paste.

IMGUR also allows simple copy/paste operations, so you can copy something on your screen (screen snip tool in Windows 10, for example, and then while on IMGUR just Paste (control+V) to upload the image.

I like imgur because on the pc you can right click copy an image and then paste on imgur and it knows to upload from clipboard. Use the direct link, or BBCODE. The imgur tag above can be used for images and animations to large to display here.

Yep, I tried imgur but they wanted my phone number to make an account on PC, so I said hell no, created an account on mobile to bypass that but then when I tried to login into the mobile imgur account on PC it didnt let me login . So I had to find a different route

Make sure to add the image’s file extension to the end of the URL if you’re using the [img] BBCode tag btw.
