Marshall, I was honestly thinking of that the numbers lock had to be on. I have gotten used to turning my numbers lock off. I would think most of us don't need it on.
I am not using my own computer as you know (I am in Massachusetts, not Florida)... do not have the number keys on the right side of the keyboard.
I am sure this should work, too bad the number locks has to be on.

I will sure will let you (Marshall) and everyone know if I can get the degree symbol and other charachters to work when I return to Florida a week from Tuesday. I am sure this is the reason why it doesn't work.
It is personally preference on how we have our number, scroll, not so much cap locks and other features on our computers set. I believe all computers have the number locks on when you turn on your computer.
However, most people [having cable modem] do not shutdown their computer after they are done using it each time. I understand it puts more wear and tear on the tower, fan, etc.

As I mentioned... I honestly figured it was the case... having "number locks" on.
We all have different preferences when doing things, including things we do or do not do online; thus my opinion on turning off the "number locks" feature causes me not to get the 'degree symbol' and the other characters using the numbers on the right side of the keyboard.
