Agreed. I am going to sleep now and will set my alarm for then. Either TD2 will be upgraded then or 90L will be, maybe both. Night all, and thanks for the laughs!

Good to see you too...

First, I'm a bit baffled that it hasn't been upgraded. I am not sure what else you need for classification unless someone is thinking it will be absorbed or sheared out.

I would guess we will have a better idea by the end of the weekend. If the models stay on this idea (and if the NHC eventually upgrades) then we'll be in full newscaster turned hurricane expert mode down here.

If that happens, I wonder if Mr. Norcross will come in off the bench and make a surprise appearance someplace...

MW

thanks Mike. Will you be doing any shows this season?

Probably not, but I am helping Mark out on Wednesdays for his show, I and I won't rule out a surprise appearance on the IPR one day.

I have so much going on that I didn't have three years ago, it's hard to find the time to prep and then deliver 1 to 2 hours a week.

Thanks again! Will be interesting to see what happens with x-td2 overnight. Good thing the eclipse doesn't start for another couple of weeks!

Pressure is down to 1008, and just two hours ago it was 1011.

Well...both the short and long answer would probably get me suspended. lol.

Its like others have said. He's conservative. He and I have a fundamental disagreement on the naming of systems. I am more pragmatic. If its a duck right now and quaking...then by G-d...call it a duck. I could care less if it turns into a squirrel in 6 hours. He prefers it remain a duck for the foreseeable future. Then after he has a few days of duck recordings...or the duck is making a big duck like mess all over someone's car and he has no choice...he'll call it a duck.

Having sat in on his conference calls...I can also add...he's gives less information than we like. We love it when Stacy is on...his calls will last 15 minutes...as opposed to Avila's 3. Stacy and others will engage in conversation with other agencies...like HPC to make sure they *and he) are on the same page and seeing the same thing. He usually doesn't. Read into that what you will.

OK...that's enough. :-)

OT: When ever I visit Miami I LOVE Pollo Tropical! We have Chicken Kitchen here in Houston. I really don't care for it.

Anyways! Cloud tops are warming.

I did make a forecast, which obviously will not be uploaded

However, I would have went with 50KT just east of the NW Bahamas in 5 days

Yep, looks like it'll be 5a before any upgrades, given the poof history of TD #2, think they'll wait for visibles on both systems before deciding..............

There is a Chicken Kitchen bout 5 minutes away from my house, but I prefer Burger King and the double Whopper lol. Man, all this talk about food is making me hungry! I am going to get a snack before I go to sleep lol.

Evening, Greg. I missed you a couple of times when I was speaking in Beaumont last spring. I have that buoy plotted with a satellite image overlay. Looks like the center may pass right over the buoy. Pressure 1008.6mb now. Was 1010.7mb a short time ago.

I don't understand in the slightest why this wasn't upgraded...I've seen 50mph tropical storms that look worse than this.

Really no need for visibles on 2. There is no doubt the low is closed...which is why you need the vis. The reason it was downgraded was the lack of convective activity...and this is about as good as it has looked since it came off Africa.

What would cause it to stay weak that long? Caribb islands?
