i think this will be a very interesting weekend

small storms like this can wind-up in a hurry and i believe it is headed for warmer water's more TCHP

I don't think it will hit S.FL head on ( with respect to others) that is my main concern.....a little more shift to the south and this little bugger will get eaten up by the islands ...especially the way it is supposed to move west for another day or so ....it seems it would need to have a perfect angle to miss islands and still get S. FL (w/o a ridge to build back in and turn it more westward after some NW motion)..and i would pray it would only hit wherever.. as a tropical storm or better yet get sheared prior to that.

Yeah, I'm having a hard time believing this won't take off with all of that open ocean ahead.

Hi Mike,

It's been much too long. Hope you and yours are well. I am glad to see you have been vindicated and you can get a good night's sleep-might be one of the last for a while

00 CMC takes TD2 through pretty much all the northern Caribbean Islands, FL keys, and has it heading to NO around 144 hours.

There's still a good patch of dry air in front of TD2. I don't see any significant increases until it gets past it.

So what are the chances.. if TD 2 survives that this will recurve to the east of Florida?

I would say pretty low. If its not going to impact Florida, its because it will be moving below us. Either way, its going to impact someone.

Most of the models I have seen , Hwrf nogaps , do not recurve , gfs and gfdl do not pick up on it

:uarrow: Ouch, and that's for TD#2, which I still think will be 2nd to 90L in terms of affects.

While I tend to agree with you... looking at the NHC track one could assume that TD 2 will pass to the north of South Florida

Pure speculation at this point but if you extrapolate now I would lean towards the East Central Florida Coast up to Georgia/South Carolina.
