I've met up with James Reynolds and we are heading out before dark. Looks like we won't have to go far for this one.
Good luck!!! Where are you guys heading???
Not sure yet but we are in the slot right now. Our motel room is 14.5 and 121.0.

This animation looks very recent and it shows two things: 1) The intensity is much diminished. 2) The storm looks to be (even if this seems early) centered over Mania. Is that possible?

Yes, the same from me to all of you. Thing is moving pretty fast. It looks like the really bad winds and torrential rains are less than an hour away now. Will be very strong momentarily.

It's really amazing how Internet joins the world. Right now I'm having lunch at FIU's Food Court and at the same time I'm getting chills from reading all your comments from what is happening. It's very different imagining what it's happening than reading it from persons in the danger zone. Thanks everyone and stay safe!
Nice fact and offtopic : Today the Internet turns 40!

i never rely on pag-asa after the ondoy tragedy.. i always visit jma website since im impressed with their forecast of the past systems... (and of course this forum on which i learned a lot of things)... not that because i find them unwise, but i knew jma has better equipments than pag-asa... and oh the rain somehow weaken and turn to showers here in Pasig City as of 12:17 am
Valenzuela city---winds getting way stronger and rain becoming heavier
its now raining here but not heavy... winds are not so strong too..
its maybe because valenzuela is in somewhere north and where down south.. i just hope it wont flood that high in marikina, its where i live

I'm getting flashbacks from Katrina in 2005 here in Miami.
That deadly whistling sound of wind gust, remembers me also of Supertyphoon Mike in 1990 pass over my province here in Cebu when I was a kid. Damn those winds are strong with gust at 300kph.
My prayers are with you Guys.
