Wish recon would hurry up...need toothpicks for my eyelids. Trying to stay awake. What time will data start coming in?

last obs I saw come in shortly ago they were parallel to Key West so it shouldn't be too long.

Plane is getting close to the mouth of the Yucatan Channel.Data is comming in at the recon thread right now so check it out.

That graphic is interesting. It shows 2 things if accurate:
1: Ida is now heading more NW or even WNW.
2: Ida has slowed down dramatically.

Winds at 300mb don't really look destructive until at or after 48 hours...If she is still moving at a decent clip it will certainly have a chance to not only make landfall, but to do it as a cane.

could you erase that image please and let me post the saved file
casue that is download from the wesite directly and may overload there system again

oh and the motion is hard to judge by look at it..
you need to find the center and write down the coordinates for a few place than calculate the amount of latitude and longitude..
