Those of us still here waiting for what's left of Ida to make landfall? What's the forward motion of Ida right now? My local MET was on for an update 30 minutes ago and he said Ida was moving NW. Lyons on TWC was saying forward motion was NE. Is Ida still forecasted to go in near Mobile? W of Mobile or E of Mobile?

HRD had it at 61 kts at 0730Z on the post-storm analysis below. Check out the wind field on it, as analyzed by HRD this morning (below). Clearly, this is a sheared TS that's now making the transition to ET.

18.5 hours later, still "tropical" and advisories still being issued by the NHC. I'm dumbfounded like everyone else how this managed to stay tropical when 20 hours ago it looked so contorted I was certain it was nearly ET then.
