Re: ATL: MATTHEW - Tropical Storm - Discussion
Matthew is kaput....big time going to be done....no worries.
MY PERSONAL OPINION AND DOES NOT REFLECT ANY OFFICIAL FORECAST FROM THE NHC.
Saints, Are you saying CA/Nicaragua is not to worry and it's all gone? Or did mean for the U.S.?

This does not need to be said every single time a storm hits. I DO CARE about CA, Mexico, PR, Cuba, etc. It's an implied thing here on these boards. We do not need to be reminded every single time to be compassionate. I haven't seen anyone be anything other than compassionate here. Jeeze...

OK...everyone settle down. Soupbone has a point. People don't need a lecture about compassion unless they are being over the top uncompassionate. We see this everytime someone says "fish" or the like. Everyone use a little common sense...you know what people mean. You know they aren't disregarding their fellow man...

Good concentration of overshooting tops in the outflow.

That's true, CA is giong to get lots of rain from it...
Wow, what a shift south and west in the last 24 hours......I'm still not sold on Nicole developing. I mean, what's Nicole going to develop from now that Matthew is forecasted to be even further south and inland. What wave out there is going to become Nicole?
I'm wondering if MAYBE since Matthew shifted south in the track if tonight's model runs might start dropping the development of Nicole, since the moisture from Matthew will be further south and inland....

Still looks really good. The next two days will determine Matthew's fate.

This is the observation people need to look at right now IMO. The center of Matthew is sitting off to the NNE of this town (which is on the NE coast of Honduras). The shear is displacing most of the convection towards the SW which gives the appearance of Matthew being far inland. If a WNW motion from this point continues there is a good chance it gets back over water. Will be interesting to see unfold.

Recon is heading back out there and should be able to tell if if it is on the coast or just inland.

It does look like a little bit of a northern turn in the last 2 frames, but it could just be the instability of the storm. We'll see.
