Yeah, para is similar in landfall location to the operational, however, seems to be slower at bring it inland.

Operational has the same sort of the boot to the southwest after it goes inland that the 12Z GFDL showed.

Wow, it must have been a while since I deeply looked into a model thread. I feel stupid for asking this... but what is the GFS Parallel and how long has this model been in existance?

GFS will be upgraded on July 27 but they are having tests with it and that is why is parrarell to the actual operational one.
