LOL! It popped right into my head, but I'm resisting too. If you look at other images you'd have to say no way, at this time, anyway.

Could be a wobble, could be doing the stairstep. Micro-analyzing each frame in a loop probably isn't beneficial. My daddy told me I would go blind doing that! Wait, that might've been something else altogether........

Apparently there is a NOAA plane heading to the storm, thank goodness. Can't wait to see what they find.

Yeah Earl's keeping a steady NW motion in the last frame or two, that was either a wobble or an illusion due to the eyewall rounding out.

Probably just a wobble I'd imagine fasterdisaster, the system probably will end up stair-stepping its way towards the NW/NNW over the next 24hrs before it really starts to feel the effects of the upper trough.

WOW! Earl is looking awesome right now I must say. I'd be very shocked if the winds weren't at least 145 MPH

A couple of slightly off topic items: For those who do not have their locations in their profile, could you please either fix that in the Control Panel or indicate where you are when you say it looks as if we are going to get hit hard. We are a close knit family but can't possible know where everyone is located. Thanks!!!

Also, does anyone remember the guy from the early years of S2K from SNE who thought every storm was going to hit New England? Wonder where he is now? This just may be the storm he was waiting for.

Back to a serious note: to everyone in Earl's path , PLEASE take the necessary precautions and be careful. A Cat 4 is nothing to mess with even if it is not a direct hit.

Good luck,
Lynn

Back to your regularly scheduled programming- the Wobble War! :)
