The 00z model runs were sobering last night. Good news is it is far out, but the consistency of the Euro is concerning

Ivan the EURO was into MX yesterday...so the consistency is not there yet.......give it a few more runs and see if the other globals latch on.......Patience grasshopper... Last thing you guys need is a 12ft storm surge pushing toxic tar balls inland...

My feeling is Texas /Louisiana, but that's a shot in the dark this early.

yeah no doubt bro....yes the EURO been sniffing something tropical for more than a few runs already...someone is going to have a bad week...However dont discount the EURO on track this far out....it nailed IKE pretty well in 08....

And forget about banding over SA, instead look at those filaments of high cloud to the north and west - sure signs of very strong shear...

That said, the invest is legit and not for testing purposes....

Tropical Upper-Tropospheric Trough or TUTT Low - A semipermanent trough extending east-northeast to west-southwest from about 35N in the eastern Pacific to about 15 to 20N in the central west Pacific. A similar structure exists over the Atlantic Ocean, where the mean trough typically extends from Cuba toward Spain.

Tropical Upper Tropospheric Trough -

It's a generally persistent upper trough in the area of the Caribbean/ SE Atlantic. We've had a fairly strong one recently, which is what blew 92L to pieces.
