Steve, we don't want it thank you. However, I'm feeling like companies coming anyway.

TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK
NWS TPC/NATIONAL HURRICANE CENTER MIAMI FL
200 AM EDT TUE JUL 6 2010

FOR THE NORTH ATLANTIC...CARIBBEAN SEA AND THE GULF OF MEXICO...

A SMALL LOW PRESSURE AREA LOCATED NEAR THE SOUTH-CENTRAL LOUISIANA
COAST IS PRODUCING A FEW SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS AS IT MOVES
WEST-NORTHWESTWARD AT 10 TO 15 MPH. DEVELOPMENT OF THIS LOW IS NOT
EXPECTED DUE TO THE INTERACTION WITH LAND AND THERE IS A LOW
CHANCE...NEAR 0 PERCENT...OF THIS SYSTEM BECOMING A TROPICAL
CYCLONE DURING THE NEXT 48 HOURS. LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL IS
POSSIBLE OVER PORTIONS OF SOUTHERN LOUISIANA TODAY.

A BROAD AREA OF LOW PRESSURE NEAR THE EAST COAST OF THE YUCATAN
PENINSULA CONTINUES TO PRODUCE WIDESPREAD BUT DISORGANIZED
CLOUDINESS...SHOWERS...AND THUNDERSTORMS. A TROPICAL DEPRESSION
COULD STILL FORM OVER THE NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS AS THIS SYSTEM MOVES
NORTHWESTWARD AT 10 TO 15 MPH. THERE IS A MEDIUM CHANCE...30
PERCENT...OF THIS SYSTEM BECOMING A TROPICAL CYCLONE DURING THE
NEXT 48 HOURS. REGARDLESS OF DEVELOPMENT...LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL
AND GUSTY WINDS ARE POSSIBLE OVER PORTIONS OF THE YUCATAN PENINSULA
DURING THE NEXT DAY OR SO.

ELSEWHERE...TROPICAL CYCLONE FORMATION IS NOT EXPECTED DURING THE
NEXT 48 HOURS.

They can't afford to go back and forth on it so I guess they just
ignore it and hope that no one notices it overnight. You got
to admit though it's pretty hilarious to say the least. I mean come on
it's much more then what they are giving credit for and it's not even
moving wnw. IMO

They are sweeping it under the rug...they said it was already inland , now it is offshore moving wnw? What does interacting with marshland have anything to do with it.

Well folks, the two wasn't a shocker to say the least but I'll be sure to let you know how that 0% works out for us here along the SW Louisiana coast tomorrow. LOL

What a waste. Very disappointed with the NHC's handling of this.

I haven't followed today's events in the tropics because I got completely fed up after what transpired early today with the four systems (seriously Atlantic, stop messing with us!), but what the heck was up with the TWO %'s going from 0% to 60% in only 3 hours and 10 minutes? I'm sorry, but they completely lost me there. The funny part was when another 3 hours went by and it went back to 0% because of landfall  . It was close to land, it might have rapidly organized and gave some regions TS force winds but I would think after calling off any chance of formation they wouldn't swing so fast the other direction.

There are no storms along our coast. The weather is beautiful. Do not listen to the propaganda that is being spoken of. Chance of tropical development is 0%!
