Looks like we have good agreement on nothing forming out of this region, so maybe time to look elsewhere and just keep an eye on this area...may well have to wait till Mid-Late August like 1998, which is turning out to be just the perfect global match thus far....

By the time the Euro has this going in the Gulf, the subtropical ridge moves off into the ATL as opposed to the last run extending all across the Gulf

I think something can form from the whole merger of 90L and the wave to its east, but it could take a while. The wheels are in motion and everything is gradually setting up for the real season (Mid August through mid October). We should get the favorable MJO to kick in at this time as well.

Here we go...look at that open door in the Gulf, that's not what you want to see from Houston to Tallahassee with a storm coming from the Caribbean, but it is 240 hours :cheesy:

That subtropical ridge is taking a beating from all those lows in the ATL

Ivan,

I am just a curious person.

Are you the pic or is that your son or grandson.

I just would like to have a vision of who is posting.

Yes, this is off topic, but I would be happy to know.
