#1 Postby Chacor » Fri Jul 30, 2010 8:13 am

As quickly as 93W died, we now have 94W. This is east of the Philippines.

The WPAC has sure been pumping out these invests, I'm thinking the agencies maybe a little keen this year given we've seen a similar thing occur in the Atlantic.

No SSD position. Nothing analyzed by JMA. Agree when you look at satellite:

I see nothing. I prefer the other one west of Philippines to be a developing disturbance rather than this invest.

I'm still waiting on one of those invests that builds up to the south of Guam. Those usually seem to be the ones that grow into something significant, given the space to do so. These invests so far to the West don't have much room to grow before they're dead in the water, so to speak.

Well, you might get your wish, per NWS WFO Guam:
.DISCUSSION...MODEL CONSENSUS CONTINUES TO SHOW DEVELOPMENT OF A
CYCLONIC CIRCULATION SOUTH OF GUAM OVER THE NEXT 2 DAYS AND MOVES
WNW INTO THE PHILIPPINE SEA WITH LITTLE EFFECT TO THE MARIANAS.

That system isn't 94W though.

Yeah, but this one doesn't look like developing at least not yet...these invests really are struggling in the WPAC this year so far.

Interesting Chacor. Like Doll said, most invests seem to be cropping up close to Philippines or even SCS like 95W which I have just posted. And these dont seem to amount to much
