Yeah it is pretty far south and whilst the systems have generally struggled in the WPAC so far I'd imagine another 'major' has to form soon out there...though the ECM has very little out there all the way through...

I tend to think that disturbances forming far south have potential of becoming the big ones., maybe because they have more time to organize and consolidate while traversing the Pacific. It's only that the shear has become the main problem for the disturbances to develop.
