Surface obs suggest that Paula's circulation may not exist and that it's now part of the cold front.

I think NHC will want to see some visible images first before declaring Paula gone.

Note that the 12Z models initialized Paula as a 20kt disturbance. It's gone. Oh, and...

Stick a fork in it, its done!

From: http://www.sun-sentinel.com/news/weathe ... 4842.story

Tropical Depression Paula is no more.
The National Hurricane Center issued its last advisory on the former Category 2 hurricane at 11 a.m. on Friday, when the system was near the north coast of Cuba, about 20 miles north of Caibarien.
Paula is now a remnant low, or a blob of low pressure. The tropics otherwise are quiet, with no other disturbances on the hurricane center's radar.

Wow can't even find her anymore, she's morphed with the front, little Paula just didn't have enough to fight back. Sinking air moving down into the Caribbean. Looks like things are going to stay calm in the near term.

The Floater still has Paula. A weak surface spiral is back over water north of Cuba and diving SE.

A circulation is still obviously present on 1km visible zooms.

It's sloppy, but it's there.

I just found out something funny:

Baby Names.com wrote:The meaning of the name Paula is Small

The origin of the name Paula is Latin

NHC wrote:PAULA IS A SMALL HURRICANE. HURRICANE FORCE WINDS EXTEND OUTWARD UP
TO 15 MILES...30 KM...FROM THE CENTER...AND TROPICAL STORM FORCE
WINDS EXTEND OUTWARD UP TO 60 MILES...95 KM.

When do systems get un-named? Is it when they become a remnant low?
