Doesn't look post-tropical to me...no need to resume advisories with no land in the way but I would mark it as a 50 kt TS at 0000Z in the BT...

They partially did that as it is at 50 kts but is EX,not TS.

At 0600Z definitely extratropical though (and now for sure). Maybe the BT will back it up.

Yeah it did look maybe stll tropical when it underwent some bursting last night but clearly that was the last attempt for the system...

DEATH TOLL IN HAITI REACHES 20

At least 20 people were killed and 7 still missing in Haiti because of the storm "Tomas", which already left Caribbean, according to the figures disclosed today by the Department of civil protection.
The Agency also reported that 36 others were injured by the phenomenon.

The Civil Protection Directorate said in a brief report together with its allies evacuated 36,755 people, of which 31,731 remain still on 120 temporary shelters.

Also spelt out 885 houses were destroyed because of "Tomas" and other 5.069 were damaged, leaving 5,954 families affected.

Ex Tomas still has some nice bursting going on over and around the center, despite no longer being tropical, and he is heading due east. Any chance at all the front washes out and leaves him behind? Or are the conditions just too horrible?

Don't think sea surface temps support a scenario like that so far out and north this time of year.
