Potential Cyclones:
There are no significant lows in the region and none are expected to develop
over the next two days. However, a monsoon trough is expected to strengthen over
the region during the weekend and a tropical low is likely to develop south of
Java early next week.
Likelihood of a tropical cyclone being in the the Western Region:

Sunday :Very Low

Issued at 2:00pm WST on Saturday the 11th of December 2010
Valid until midnight WST Tuesday
Existing Cyclones in the Western region:
Nil.
Potential Cyclones:
There are no significant lows in the region at the moment. However, a monsoon
trough is expected to strengthen over the region during the weekend and a
tropical low is likely to develop south of Java by early next week.
Likelihood of a tropical cyclone being in the the Western Region:
Sunday :Very Low
Monday :Low
Tuesday :Low
NOTES: Development Potential is an estimate of the chance of each system being a
tropical cyclone in the Region for each day.
Very Low: less than 5% Low: 5% - 20%,
Moderate: 20% - 50% High: Over 50%
The Western Region refers to the Indian Ocean between Longitudes 90-125E and
south of Latitude 10S.

Nil.
Potential Cyclones:
At midday WST a low was forming near 13S105E, embedded in a monsoon trough. The
low is likely to move slowly to the south southeast over the next few days with
conditions becoming more favourable for development from Wednesday.
Likelihood of this system being a tropical cyclone in the Western Region:
Monday :Low
Tuesday :Low
Wednesday :Moderate
