I say they just have a "Atlantic" Basin, instead of North Atlantic. It would be kinda odd though because I think they would have 2 different seasons as they are common in the N. off season and vice-versa, meaning probably 3 TWO they issue instead of just the ATL and EPAC...

Agreed. Best to let them handle it instead of combining the two basins into one. Plus we tend to refer to storms down there as cyclones instead of hurricanes, I wouldn't like the idea of calling it the 20?? Atlantic Hurricane/Cyclone Season.

Not sure if anyone posted this, but on the NHC satellite page, they had previously been referring to the system as 90Q (I think) or something like that.
