I'm a fellow Texan, and as this system moves away from us, I am getting less active. I guess I am shallow but I want this system in Texas!

I am still holding out hope!!! At least a cold front is coming. I can say this. With the High Pressure Ridge of Death going away, that will open the Gulf to moisture to move our way. That means, we will have many more chances of what the Elders call rain. This is a beginning, not an ending. I would also watch the Gulf in September and October. I fear that this season is in the fifth inning of a nine inning game.

I like your optimism on the rain in Texas Tireman4.

If only we could figure out a way to split the rain. 8 inches in Louisiana/Mississippi and 8 inches to Texas. Less flooding here. We would all be happy.

It quieted down for a bit in the last hour or so. Just a steady drizzle and not the constant downpour it was. I hope I make it to work before the next big rainband comes through.

Several were proclaiming victory last night because of a reformed LLC. Just because you have a reform LLC in a diff location doesn't mean this blob was going to go a diff direction.

OK, I can't stand this anymore... I'm making plans to be at the beach this whole weekend, I'm pretty sure that will anger the rain gods just enough to nudge this mess towards us. I'm holding out hope simply because I believe this blob will get closer to TX than the models think; however, our entrenched dry air will make the moistening process a slow one. Lee will create rain for TX, I still believe! Wait and see come Tomorrow night into Sunday.
