We had a good feeder band earlier this morning.. pretty quiet now.. looks like we will be getting our second one within the next 30 - 45 minutes or so... finally got some decent rain in my yard.. sorry Texas... -removed- it your way... honest... one more good feeder band and I hope I'm done with this so I can enjoy the weenend.. most of the significant weather looks to be S to SE of the center... someone gonna get copious amounts of rain out of this...

Rock, didn't you insist the LLC reformed southeast last night and then it actually reformed northeast? I am starting to think the drought is severely limiting your judgement. Just kidding, in all seriousness. You know much more than I do.

We had some good rain earlier but now back to cloudy and slightly breezy.

I wasn't overly excited as others. This blob struggled to get its act together. I was hopeful, but something told me from day 1 it would be NGOM.

Plenty of sunshine over here! Too bad we can't make a trade.

LCH NWS is still calling for decent rain chances here. We'll see.

Why did you think that? I really believed we were going to get some good rain with the WSW track into south TX the models showed just 2 nights ago.

Do you think we will have any more tropical threats in the WGOM this season? If I remember correctly, JB tweeted about a week ago that the Gulf will be shutting down after September 6.

No LLC anymore? Does that mean this will be downgraded to a tropical wave?
or maybe I just misunderstood ya.

This is one crazy looking system. Dry air from TX is really inhibiting development on the west side. Also, does appear to be a very broad low SW of the main area of convection. This is going to be an interesting one to watch especially if it can pull at least some moisture around the west side.

LLC is still present, just well displaced from the main area of convection.

He said looks like. I believe he was talking about the appearance in structure and meant it in jest. Look at what it does on the west and southwest side.
