Nothing to do but LOL at this....just checked google maps, the forcast track of the center goes 180 yards west of my house.

Hot off the press...tornado warning for mainland hyde county near Englehardt and Swan Quarter. First of these that I have heard tonight, probably a waterspout coming off of Pamlico Sound.

Now getting reports of trees down in the Newport area of Carteret County, west of Morehead City.

Hurricane Beulah 1967 produced 115 tornadoes followed by Hurricane Ivan in 2004 with 117 tornadoes. Way to early to say Irene is a tornado maker but we have several days to watch. Its just beginning.
