funny you said tornado because tehre was a path someone said "jokingly" looked liek a rope of a tornado came through

sounds like one of the mini-vortexes that can strike. Just glad you all were ok.

Finnally back home now here, after the blunder of a sortie from our typhoon haven here. Max winds in Yoko ended up being around 25kts. Great stuff!!!

Any how I got some videos of the 20ft seas we saw SE of honshu while we were trying to be (safe) from the storm. Any how a story I get to tell people years from now. Out to sea in a tropical storm.

hmm, i actually do remember looking at the JMA radar during Songda's passage through Okinawa and i believe i saw the Level 2 probability over the southern half of the island at that time...
