Hate to be a pessimist Karl ... but other than some cloud cover on the patrons at Pier 99 eating their oysters, not sure the good folks of Corpus will see much out of this. Wish it was different.

:( :( :( I'd rather have rain than surf.

Earlier wxman57 said middle TX coast.

An undeducated wild guess from a weather geek...

Forget it, Karl. No rain for you! (soup Nazi from Seinfeld)

The vorticity center is just tracking too far south of you.

If it is any consolation, the afternoon forecast discussion out of NWSFO Austin/San Antonio suggests a TUTT low may form in the Western Gulf this weekend and move inland. Might be some seabreeze activity by late in the weekend or on Monday. Keep your fingers crossed!

Only problem is my house is prior to the seebreeze fronts. Great looking sunsets though. :D

8 PM EDT TWO:

A SMALL AREA OF LOW PRESSURE CONTINUES TO PRODUCE LIMITED
THUNDERSTORM ACTIVITY A COUPLE HUNDRED MILES NORTH-NORTHWEST OF THE
YUCATAN PENINSULA. ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS ARE NOT PARTICULARLY
CONDUCIVE...AND THERE IS A LOW CHANCE...10 PERCENT...OF THIS SYSTEM
BECOMING A TROPICAL CYCLONE DURING THE NEXT 48 HOURS AS IT MOVES
WEST-SOUTHWESTWARD AT 15 TO 20 MPH.

The little spin appears to be moving NW now, not WSW?

Weak swirl of low clouds moving into a subtropical jet core. Three words for that:

Its such a small looking system, really is just a swirl with a little convection either side of it, looks like some of those early/late NE Atlantic hybrids you see when conditions just aren't good enough for it.
