I was looking at that area. I was wondering why it wasn't being mentioned.

Maybe some elements of ex 98L as they are in close proximity, but is a separate system as you can see.

Where did this come from? So it looks like, at least in the short term, it is trapped beneath the ridge?

I was just getting ready to ask the same thing and adding the question of it shouldn't bother land, right?

According to the models,it will move to the northern latitudes, after moving near Bermuda.

Yeah, a system that starts this far north is bound to be a shipping channel issue and once in a while; Bermuda

I've been keeping an eye on this system for a couple of days now. Just yesterday, it supported really nice convection as it interacted with a large tutt to its southeast. Reminds me a bit of the genesis of Shary 2010

Looks like it is being forced south by the outflow of Irene.

I'm surprised it hasn't been mentioned in the TWO's, maybe they are waiting for stronger convection to develop near the center.

I don't believe this will develop into anything. The outflow from Irene, which is a huge storm, seems too strong to allow any chance of us seeing TD11 or Jose.

It's holding on very nicely :L
Seems to be enduring all that shear better than you'd expect from such a tiny naked swirl

Probably downplaying this due to Irene.
