I dont believe the Low has moved over water as of yet, per the wind map and the fact that we are dead calm here in pensacola. Not even a hint of wind.

expect to see a circ redevelop offshore later today and into tomorrow associated with the deep convection.

but right now according to latest wind obs satellite and radar the circ is right on top of or to the west of Ft walton beach by about 10 miles.

Winds here at my house just east of Destin have just really picked up gusting to 20mph out of the S to SSW. Pressure beginning to rise.

Did you read my FB post last night? :D

On a serious note, I am starting to have those flashbacks of Wilma which barreled across S. FL being aided by and/or followed by a cold front.

I have noticed the winds have picked up here in south central Florida this morning out of the south. I doubt it has anything to do with this low but thought it odd.

The radar presentation for 90 was a lot better a few hours ago. Now it is somewhat discumbobulated. (yes that is a technical term)

Feel free to correct my spelling, I don't think I have ever written that term before just said it.

If this were August and if the pattern were different than it is now, I would be screaming Alicia reborn. Basically the same situation happened when she was born except that the mcs she came from was not a "remnant piece" of another TC. Based on the current pattern though I don't see anyway that this will be a problem for anyone West of AL. We have a "strong" "cold" front coming in this weekend that should make it off the coast and take whatever this becomes to the East or ENE. Of course that makes it a possible problem for FL residents, so keep watching this development closely.

I noticed on the wind map it is just about to go offshore, and that is has gotten a little elongated. No real wind here to speak of yet. Still looks like we are in the center of it.

interesting band developing off shore with the Doppler velocities changing looks like a circ is starting to setup just offshore.

Just south of Pensacola.

The area south of Pensacola is becoming somewhat impressive on radar.

Last night one of our local mets was discussing this. He said it will go into Florida. This is one mets. prediction. Anything can happen, but it does seem like a logical explanation of what will happen.
