That is very irresponsible for them to say that...Which channel was that and who was the Met? And please don't disappoint me and say it was Kait Parker...I just can't find a way for her to disappoint me... :cheesy: :cheesy: :cheesy:

Agree, Isaac looks to be a bit north and ahead of the NHC forecast points.

My sentiments as well....

All depends on which circulation your looking at... Northern one Yes... Southern one No... of course this is just my opinion!

When does the next AF HH mission start? Do they have another late night flight or is it not until during the day tomorrow?

a piece of the 11;00 pm disco... interesting?

ISAAC SHOULD TURN TOWARD A MORE
NORTHWESTWARD HEADING OVER THE NEXT FEW DAYS. THE MODEL CONSENSUS
HAS SHIFTED A BIT TO THE RIGHT DURING THE FIRST HALF OF THE FORECAST
PERIOD...PRIMARILY DUE TO AN EASTWARD SHIFT OF THE LATEST GFS
TRACK. THE OFFICIAL FORECAST IS NUDGED A BIT TO THE RIGHT OF
THE PREVIOUS ONE AND IS SOMEWHAT FASTER BASED ON THE LATEST MODEL
GUIDANCE.

Give the size of Isaac, that is highly unlikely.

(I'm sure there's an exception or two out there, but I've never heard of an unsheared tropical cyclone fizzle in the Gulf at the height of the season no matter what it hit first.)

Is that a little faster? Showing landfall Tuesday evening. If that is true then we are officially within 5 days. You have to take this more and more seriously with each passing hour. If nothing changes tonight then I will be getting supplies tomorrow just in case. By doing that the storm will be guaranteed to not hit here.

Another goody from Weagle - Martin County is out of the cone and part of PBC. The rest of PBC will be out by the morning.

Seems pretty sure of himself

Frank that is quite a difference in timing for the northern Gulf Coast. So much for a relaxing weekend.

Even if it's not a hurricane, if that track pans out, there's going to be some serious flooding action happening IF it hits the MS/LA/FL area.....
Will definately be glued to this board this weekend as I have many relatives in that area.

I wouldn't be surprised if Isaac makes landfall in W central DR.

The trend is your friend.....or in this case my enemy. Mobile Bay Tuesday 8pm per 11pm NHC....getting closer and closer. I am going to hold out till the 5am tomorrow to see what the models do with the Gulfstream data. If it is evident that Isaac is coming my way we'll start getting gas and securing the property. Isaac has produced a good convective burst this evening.....MGC

There is no recon support for even a mesovort at 16.7N. Maybe 16.2 but definitely not 16.7. Whose idea was that???

Interesting that it is now expected to hit Tuesday at 8:00 pm .. Hopefully the next set of runs with the G-IV data will get this thing pinned down... good to be in the target now because I know its going to change... nothing against the great people of Al and Fl but I sure hope we get back to an east trend tomorrow...

A few black pixels on rainbow imagery - that's pretty rare in an Atlantic storm.

yeah there are very cold cloud tops. I am finding hard to believe with all the convergence and convection that we can get a solid inner core tonight. things are looking better as of now of satellite. just have to wait and see when recon gets there later tonight.
