Looked like a temporary slowdown in forward speed on radar and same showing in the recon data?
Wish Isaac would scoot on out of there for the Keys sake.

If it got boosted by the Gulf Stream it should play-out over the next few hours with an intensification burst.

TWC said hurricane warnings may be issued at 5pm. Does this seem too soon? I at least expect them to extend the hurricane watch westwards to intracoastal city, la or so. Just my opinion obviously.

Glad I'm not the only one who's noticed that the past 70 minutes or so. Looks like it's slowed to an absolute crawl...

you are correct, structure has improved quite a bit and pressure has been slowly falling. Once that inflow channel to the SE gets off Cuba, Isaac could really take off

I don't think they'll do that given the very wide model variances.

I don't think we'll see warnings along the gulf coast till either late tonight or tomorrow morning.

Bursting on IR right now. I think we are seeing the start of a true core CDO.

Also seems to be moving just north of due west average motion.

Isaac's satellite presentation has improved this afternoon...still some dry air getting entrained on the south side. I expect the south side to fill in later as Isaac moves into a more favorable environment.

We were getting some last preps done, yard is mostly secured. The Pass Christian Wal Mart was a zoo an hour ago. Water all gone from the shelves. They are just parking a pallet of water in the aisle and letting the people grab it.

The above is the opinion of MGC and not an official forecast.

Link? NHC's stuff is stuck at 19:45Z and actually shows a slight decrease in intensity over the last 90 mins or so.

Isaac does appear to be slowly intensifying.
In St. Petersburg winds are breezy at 24 mph gusting to 32 mph
at Albert Whitted Airport. There will likely be increasing
surf along the beaches. Looks like it will get strong in the Gulf.
Upper level winds are favorable for intensification.

My prayers with all those people affected by the storm.

Aye but it is more symmetrical then it was a few hours ago, I will be interested to see if this can ramp itself up. And to be honest I am surprised the tops have been relatively weak with this system, especially given its latitude. Gordon did better for himself and he was way up there.
