Remember also, just because recon isn't reporting an eye or eyewall doesn't mean there isn't one forming or part of one. The eyewall has to be more than 50% complete for them to report it in the VDM.

A little lighter take -

Question for the peanut gallery: Purely for terms of mystery, suspense, potential impact, debate, and unexpected plot twists, Isaac is the best tropical system since..... (and you can't say Debby!)

I say Rita.

Thoughts?

I keep seeing TWC putting the center in the middle of the convection when recon confirms its not in that area, shouldn't they mark it where it really is in the S edge of the convection

It almost looks like two areas of circulation that are trying to align.

Hmmm not the best presentation on the radar, but really its only just recently cleared Cuba and the inflow channel will strengthen as it finally moves away from land for a while.

It really is only a matter of time I'd have thought, the models are showing a pretty favourable set-up once past the 12hr mark.

Just got in from store getting some things for dinner. People have pretty much lost there minds now. Looks like black friday only at the grocery stores. Area gas stations have lines at every pump. Going to be a long couple days trying to get around town, especially with evacs beginning now.

I am up in Highlands County near Sebring and this is the strongest squall yet, a wind gauge near me is showing gusts between 30-37MPH. My RV is rocking like someone is in the, oh never mind, you get the picture. lol.

Seems like Issac's getting a little leaner and meaner. Gusts reported to 48 mph here in Martin County with most of the "action" (squall lines) occurring in the last several hours.

My posts should NEVER, EVER, EVER be construed as an official forecast as I know virtually nada respecting the finer points of meteorology. Consequently, my posts are obviously NOT endorsed by any professional institution or the good folks at storm2k.org. For official information please refer to the weather gurus at the NHC and NWS.
